Sunday scaries getting you down? Dreaming of an antidote to doomscrolling?
Scientific studies have shown that repetitive vocalization can significantly reduce stress, help with emotional regulation, and improve cognitive function. Community Catharsis offers a space for people to participate in this practice outside of the context of religious ritual.
Community Catharsis is a space where participants can engage in the ancient joy and interconnectedness that comes from group chanting accompanied by the healing vibrations of singing bowls, chimes, and drums.
Join us for an emotionally resonant experience that is designed to release tension built up over the week from reading the news and offer a cathartic release.
This event is welcoming to people of all genders, sexual orientations, racial and ethnic experiences, and religious (or not) affiliations. Please bring a mat, cushion, or blanket for your comfort.
