Scientific studies have shown that repetitive vocalization can significantly reduce stress, help with emotional regulation, and improve cognitive function. Community Catharsis offers a space for people to participate in this practice outside of the context of religious ritual.

Community Catharsis is a space where participants can engage in the ancient joy and interconnectedness that comes from group chanting accompanied by the healing vibrations of singing bowls, chimes, and drums played by Sound Practitioner & Desire Catalyst, Elise Bish, and vocalizations led by Beatboxer & Empathetic Consultant, Tre Miller.

Join us for an emotionally resonant experience that is designed to release tension built up over the week from reading the news and offer a cathartic release. 

This event is welcoming to people of all genders, sexual orientations, racial and ethnic experiences, and religious (or not) affiliations. Please bring a mat, cushion, or blanket for your comfort.

    Please Note: The space can get very warm. Please bring water, stay hydrated, and dress to keep yourself cool and comfortable.

    You will get a confirmation email with the address and details once you register.

    • A yoga mat or blanket to stretch out on

    • A water bottle

  • Please arrive 10 minutes early (3:45 pm) to find parking, set up your mat, and get comfortable before the sound experience begins.

A lifelong explorer of perspective, Tre Miller is an experienced creative who revels in juxtaposition. His background in empathetic communication and deradicalization work inform his facilitation of an expansive emotional journey through breathing exercises and group vocalizations.

Elise Bish
Sound Practitioner & Desire Coach

As a certified sound healer, folk herbalist, and, conscious sexuality educator, Elise Bish supports participants in weaving new levels of awareness through their heart, body, and soul.  Her passion lies in creating community experinces that honor authenitc expression, deep connection, and tender witnessing.
